There is a lot to do in Mason, TX

One of the most beautiful small towns in the Texas Hill Country, Mason is home to many wonderful and interesting people.  Shopping on the historic Square will fill your afternoon whether you are looking for art, jewelry, clothing, antiques or more.   When you are hungry you will find top quality restaurants including the original Cooper's Barbecue, Mexican food from Santos, Rico's, Nachos or Mi Pueblo.  Pizza, sandwiches and steaks from Lea Lou in the evening.  There is fresh seafood at Keller's and Willow Creek serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week.   If you want an upscale lunch Square Plates is perfect for you.  Mason is home to many Texas wineries including Sandstone Cellars, Murphy Creek, Parr Vineyards and Robert Clay Vineyards.  The Odeon Theater is the center for music and theater.  Visit the Mason Museum on the Square and head up to an incredible view of Mason from Fort Mason a short drive from the square.  No charge for this relaxing vantage point.  Ask about kayaking the Llano, visiting The Bat Cave, exploring for topaz.  In the evening there are two clubs on the square, Lea Lou and Willow Creek both offering sports coverage and on weekends live music.  The Sandstone Wine Bar is open late for a more quiet experience.  We welcome you to our town and all of the friendliness it has to offer.

Mason is the premiere place to be in the Spring for wildflower season.  Every place you look is filled with Bluebonnets, Indian Blanket, Indian Paintbrush and more.  The Summer brings the Roundup Weekend Parade, Festival and  Rodeo along with outdoor adventures such as kayaking on the Llano.   The Fall brings some of the best hunting in Texas, the annual Wild Game Dinner and HallowWine when our wineries celebrate their newest wines.  Winter brings the holidays filled with the best Texas country traditions you can imagine starting with Light Up Our Town where we celebrate Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Christmas season.

Mason is truly The Gem of the Hill Country.
